Sunday School classes for adults.
|
ABFs are groups
of adults that meet in caring fellowship for prayer,
support, and to know and apply the Bible. They consist of
individuals at similar stages of life who are asking the
same questions and can identify with each other. ABFs are
grouped by age, interest or family circumstances. They meet
regularly on Sunday Mornings during the Sunday School hour
and also meet other times for social events and to share
their needs with other members.
The
ABF Mission:
"People experiencing life changing Bible Study and
engaging in a lifestyle of reaching and serving others for
Jesus Christ with a group of genuine friends."
Why Join an ABF?
To have fun! To develop Christian friendships. For caring
fellowship. For better understanding of the Scriptures. For
coffee and donuts. For encouragement. Easy-going groups. For
laughs! To get involved with social events throughout the
year.

"As
iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Our
goal is to intentionally build relationships among men that
glorify God.
We
are a group of men dedicated to countering the pop culture
and its pervasive effects on men.
Tools
we are using include:
·Men's
Fraternity, a 26 week study on The Quest for Authentic
Manhood,
·Yearly men's steak
fry-scheduled for March
·More opportunities are
being planned.
All
of these have the goal of helping men achieve their God
given roles and to develop authentic friendships.

Seasonal Praise, M&Ms, Whitecross, Dorcas

Seasonal
Praise - Women's Ministry at Bethel is currently
sponsoring three-four Seasonal Praises throughout the year for
women of all ages to attend, get to know one another, praise
God together, and unify the women of Bethel. Seasonal
Praises will be announced in the bulletin and in your
mailbox. M&Ms
(Moms & Moppets) - The M&Ms
group at Bethel is just for MOMS. We have moms with babies and moms
with teens! Meetings are held every other Thursday during the school year
from 8:45 am - 10:30 am beginning September 20, 2007. Childcare cost
is $2 per child or $5 max per family per meeting. Childcare
is provided so you can relax and enjoy the Bible Study and fellowship with
other moms. Joani Reynertson will be leading our study again this year.
Babies up to 4 months of age are welcome to stay with you.
Bonnie
Ann will teach our preschoolers ("Moppets") again this year.
They must be 3 years old and
potty-trained to join the Moppets class. Our nursery is well-staffed with
a nurse (MaryAnn Hagen) and other qualified staff. Call
Joani at 507-238-2865 if you have any questions! Whitecross
- Whitecross is an organization for women who enjoy
volunteering their time to help others. Whitecross currently
meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at Bethel at 1:30pm.
Projects: tearing sheets into strips and squares for
bandages and wound-cleansers to be sent to Lydia Children's
Home in the Fall of each year, layettes for African
hospitals, quilt tops. Donations of any type of sheet are
always accepted!! Bring them to Bethel's Church Office. Current
Leader: Helen Thate (238-1826) Please contact Helen for more
information about Whitecross! "Your
attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who,
being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking
the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself
and became obedient to death - even death on a cross!"
Philippians 2:5-8. Dorcas
- Dorcas is a group for widows that meets every month or
every other month. Check out our bulletin for meeting
notices, or see our weekly Bulletin
page online. Joani Reynertson is currently in charge
of this group. You may reach her for more information at
507-238-2865.
Bethel offers a variety of ways for musically-minded
individuals to be involved with music from helping lead
worship at services to special choirs and groups that
perform periodically. Contact Director of Music &
Worship Ministries Deb Meyer at Bethel 507-728-8573 to see
how you can get involved!
The Technologies Ministry includes all audio, video and
video projection that Bethel Members and guests use. Video
projection can been seen for special presentations and for
worship assistance on Sunday mornings. We assist for
weddings and funerals and deal with weekly preparations for
Sunday Services. We broadcast Saturdays at 2:00 on
Fairmont
’s cable channel 12. On Sundays, the service is fed into the Nursery
live where workers can see and hear the service. Contact
Deb Meyer to help out with this ministry - phone
507-728-8573.

Our Prayer Ministry
is an important part of Bethel.
|
Our weekly Prayer Meetings
are:
Ladies Prayer Meeting - meets every
Thursday at 7:00 am, at Bethel
Men's
Weekly Prayer Group
- meets every Thursday from 6:00-7:00 am, at Bethel
Church-wide Prayer Meeting - meets
every Wednesday at 7:00 pm, at Bethel
To use Bethel's Prayer
Chain: Call Dee Jepsen at 507-235-3753
The Prayer Chain is a ministry where individual Christian
people commit themselves to uphold, intercede for, and
encourage others through prayer. The Prayer Chain uses the
idea of a "chain" to pass prayer requests from one
person to another, thus expanding the prayer base an
individual has praying for them and their needs.
Some
guidelines for the Prayer Chain:
Keep all requests confidential. Anonymous requests are OK if
those being prayed for approve of the request being placed
on the prayer chain. Remember the prayer of a righteous man
(person) is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
To
Join Bethel's Prayer Chain: Contact Bethel Staff at
507-235-5513
Our prayer chain consists of groups of people who have a heart for
meeting the needs of others through the ministry of prayer. Each group
will have a leader who is called first, who in turn passes the prayer
request onto the next in line. The request should be written down the
way that it is worded to avoid confusion or omissions. Prayer should be
offered immediately. Requests are to be kept confidential when
necessary. The prayer ministry is very important and we ask that only
those who are committed to the prayer ministry please contact the church
office to add your name to the list. Please specify Daytime Prayer
Chain or Evening Prayer Chain.

Groups at Bethel, and have information that would be
beneficial for our website, please email the info to Kristin.
The goal of this website is to reach both people who attend
Bethel with relevant information and also to let people in

our church. If
you are interested in donating some ideas or time for this
website, please contact Kristin Peterson at 507-238-5446, or
